I have been corresponding with hundreds of skeptics for over 30 years now. Sadly I have noticed that we have lost some of these gentleman in the last two years. i wanted to pause and take a look at all of these scholars and remember their works. Below I have linked past posts I done on them and you can access these posts by clicking on their names highlighted in blue.
(Dr. Wilson seen below)

I have had the honor of corresponding with Harvard’s Edward O. Wilson and I really enjoyed reading many of his books and have visited several times the museum that he help put together at Harvard.
(Dr. Wolpert seen below)

I am interested in biology too and had the honor of corresponding with Professor Lewis Wolpert (who told me his son is a born again believer like I am). Also I have an interest in economics and had the opportunity to correspond with the great Australian economist Geoff Harcourt
(Dr. Harcourt seen below)

Sadly we have also lost Riccardo Giacconi, and Masatoshi Koshiba, and Professor Paul M. Rabinow, and Martinus J. G. Veltman, and Professor Richard Robert Ernst, Recently I wrote the post about Pausing to look at the life of Colin Blakemore
One of my favorite writers for many years has been Steven Weinberg who I found out about in 1979 after reading WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE HUMAN RACE? by Francis Schaeffer and Dr. C. Everett Koop. In the post below, Dr Weinberg rightly points out that you are not saying much if you only use the word GOD to mean only nature’s scientific laws!! Dr. Weinberg cuts through all the wordplay that people do so often!!! Read about it below.
The last email I sent these gentlemen was from my hospital bed two years ago tonight and here it is below:
July 22, 2020
Dear …,
Back on February 20, 2020, I emailed and wrote about 200 skeptics that I have been corresponding with for up to almost 30 years in some cases. I wrote the following words:
I have been blessed not have any health concerns for my first 58 years of life. However, on February 19, 2020, I was told by a cardiologist that a few months back my heart was attacked by a virus and now I have Congestive Heart Failure and my heart is operating at 40% of what it was earlier.
If the Lord blesses me with some type of recovery, I hope to continue to read the works of skeptics and correspond with them in the future.
Unfortunately, my recovery has been anything but easy and I have suffered 3 heart attacks. Today on July 22nd I am undergoing quadruple heart bypass surgery and I wanted to get this off to you before the operation this morning.
I have been blessed the last few months to interact with Ricky Gervais the famous British comedian who recently wrote and acted in the excellent NetFlix series AFTER LIFE which I highly recommend and I have even done many blog posts discussing the episodes. In fact, Ricky liked two of my blog posts about AFTER LIFE that were put on twitter and they got over 17,000 views each. AFTER LIFE is about Tony Johnson (played by Ricky) whose wife Lisa has died six months earlier. Ricky has decided to live life the way he wants to even if it means being rude when he feels like it and his so-called “super power” is that if he doesn’t get over his depression then he can go back to the original plan of killing himself.
Since Tony has rejected all religious and moral principles he says things like this below indicating that he thinks life is meaningless:
Here’s what’s what, humanity is a plague. We’re a disgusting, narcissistic, selfish parasite, and the world would be a better place without us. It should be everyone’s moral duty to kill themselves. I could do it now. Quite happily just go upstairs, jump off the roof, and make sure I landed on some c**t from accounts
Season one of AFTER LIFE reminded me a lot of Solomon searching for the elusive meaning to life UNDER THE SUN in ECCLESIASTES. Therefore, on Saturday April 18, 2020 at 6pm in London and noon in Arkansas, I had a chance to ask Ricky Gervais a question on his Twitter Live broadcast which was “Is Tony a Nihilist?” At the 20:51 mark Ricky answers my question. Below is the video at this link: https://youtu.be/Zxg6dnhbsjU
Atheists like Ricky and his good friend Richard Dawkins need evidence and in this series of posts on AFTER LIFE have examined many of the historical claims of the Bible and also the accuracyof Old Testament prophecies. Did you know that Isaac Newton spent about a third of his time in his favorite book of the Bible which was Danieland he was particularly interested in chapter 9.
Thank you for you time! Hope all is well with you and yours.

The John Lennon and the Beatles really were on a long search for meaning and fulfillment in their lives just like King Solomon did in the Book of Ecclesiastes. Solomon looked into learning (1:12-18, 2:12-17), laughter, ladies, luxuries, and liquor (2:1-2, 8, 10, 11), and labor (2:4-6, 18-20). He fount that without God in the picture all […]
