Again we have another shooting and the gun control bloggers are out again calling for more laws.
I have written about this subject below and on May 23, 2012, I even got a letter back from President Obama on the subject. Now some very interesting statistics below and a cartoon follows. (Since this just hit the internet I know more study will be done to see if the statistics hold up.)

Last week I posted a graphic on the Silver Circle Facebook page claiming the average number of people killed in mass shootings when stopped by police is 18.25, and the average number of people killed in mass shootings when stopped by civilians is 2.2. I based it on the 10 shootings I covered in last week’s Pop Friday post and I did the math myself.
The graphic was met with great enthusiasm and much skepticism. Leave it to Facebook users to demand an audit on a meme. So, I started over, only much more meticulous this time. I compiled and analyzed 93 shootings, and I am now prepared to present my findings, complete with a link to all the data. But here’s a spoiler… It’s not that different.
Gun control does not work.

Those posters are bullshit. The data for mass murders being stopped by a civilian shooter is virtually non-existent, There is rarely anyone that stops a mass shooter, besides police.
I once saw a sign in front of a house that said that nothing in the house was worth getting 4 bullets shot in your chest.

The reason you can say there are no mass shooters stopped by civilians is because they are killed before the situation can become a mass shooting. Your reason is severely lacking. If you had a brain, you would understand that you look at the situations based on the number of potential victims that could have been killed in a public shooting.
This is the point of this poster, there have been times where a shooter has walked into a crowded area with a fully loaded gun, and additional ammo. Just because the guy is stopped before he can squeeze off more than three or four rounds, you claim it was not a mass shooter situation. Well, in one way you are right. You’re right because they were dropped before they could become a mass shooter.
But I understand that looking at it from this perspective would not support your agenda, so you’re going to ignore such facts and make a inane claims instead.

I don’t know if you have read many of my posts that I have written or not but I agree with all the points you have made. I don’t support gun control.
I came across this site by cross study of the book of the dead and the bible. we know the alot of what is write in gensis was taken from the book of the dead and the bible has a massive falses, not that some events did or did not happen, the bible does not have truth written. This is due to people not understanding science. Such as poster above. There are very very few if any mass shooting stopped by a single person vs police. Why is it that liberals are not christian. I know a lot of christian liberals I dont believe in god because I know better, but Im a geologist Im also a republican, but I have been voting for obama and the democratic party. I would like christian right to stop with your blind sided view of the world you will always lose
